Brett Olson is a printmaker and dry-medium artist, hailing originally from the quiet woods of rural Wisconsin, living and working presently in NYC. Much of her current work seek to explore the tension between history and memory explored through the form of self-censored, accumulated, handwritten and printed texts. Her curatorial work includes assisting on the shows To Have and To Hold (2024), Towards a Warm Embrace (2023), and Pedagogy and Propaganda (2023) at the Perlman Teaching Museum. She is a graduate of Carleton College, where she studied Art History and Studio Art with a focus in contemporary performance art and film.
